I purchased Object Desktop and Cursor XP in early 2007. I know that I will have to renew for another year soon. What is the difference between renewing Object Desktop and purchasing a subscription to Wincustomize (which I'm thinking of purchasing now)?

Object Destop (ODNT) is software, Wincustomize is content.
You get unlimited WC content as long as you have a subscription to ODNT

ODNT features: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/features.asp
WinCustomize features (sorta) : https://www.wincustomize.com/subscribers.aspx , https://www.wincustomize.com/about.aspx

Thanks for the quick response. Just to clarify...

When I renew ODNT, it's to receive updates for another year for all the software programs included in ODNT.

If I purchase a WC subscription, it's to be able to view and download skins etc without banners and ads.

And Stardock Central (soon to be replaced by Impulse) is used to download the updates to programs that I own already (among other things, games, forums, etc).

Would I still use the WC browser to view new skins once Impulse comes out?

You are correct in all things except the WC Browser and in that I am unsure.
I would guess that WCB will be supported for a while but I just don't know.  I do know (from one of the impulse thread I think) that it won't be integrated into Impulse as it is in SDC.
